Bobolo
Bobolo (also known as baton de manioc or cassava stick) is a traditional Central African staple made from fermented cassava. After fermentation, the cassava is shaped into sticks and typically wrapped in banana/plantain leaves before being cooked, giving it a satisfying, doughy texture with a lightly tangy fermented taste.
Bobolo is commonly enjoyed as a side dish with grilled fish, spicy pepper sauce, soups, and rich stews—especially in Cameroonian-style meals. It can be reheated by steaming or warming (check your pack for exact instructions), making it an easy, authentic option to keep on hand when you want a filling cassava-based accompaniment.
